A 2 hour LIVE virtual class to help you prepare for the journey of breastfeeding.

A 2 hour LIVE virtual class to help you prepare for the journey of breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding is a skill learned by each new mom & baby, supported by their instincts, reflexes, cellular memory and normally the people around them.

Today, breastfeeding is not often something new parents have had much exposure let alone real experience with, and so gathering some information in preparation for this new journey of feeding your baby can be very helpful.

In this class we will cover:

  • milk making: colostrum phase, initial engorgement & how to support milk production

  • how to support infants in getting breastfeeding off to the best start from birth

  • infant behaviours and needs in the first few days of life

  • active feeding - what you expect to feel and see

  • positioning, alignment and asymmetrical latch-on

  • pump flange fit and when to pump

  • nipple pain/damage and when to seek LC support

There is so much that we could potentially talk about over the 2 hours, but through my years of supporting mothers and babies with breastfeeding, these are the things that I want all moms to be to know before they get started!
I hope to have time to answer a few questions at the end of the class as well.
